Course Description: This seminar provides an in-depth examination of Xi Jinping Thought, the political ideology developed by the Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Using proprietary material from the instructors work in China, which included the study of key texts, speeches, and official documents, students will explore the core principles, policies, and implications of Xi Jinping Thought, as well as its role in shaping contemporary Chinese politics and foreign relations. Additionally, the seminar will analyze the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) within the framework of Xi Jinping Thought, focusing on its objectives, implementation strategies, and impact on global politics and economics.
